Arvin Lucille King, 82, of Soddy Daisy, died on Friday, May 24, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. King, son, David L. King, parents, Walter M Jones and Alice Ada Freeman, and brothers, Walter Paul Jones and Lloyd G. Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy King Williams (Mark) of Sapphire, N.C., granddaughter, Cynthia Beth Brown (Whitney) and one great-granddaughter, Nola Grace of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandson, David Z. Patten of Nashville; sister, Laura B. Walker, Soddy Daisy; two nieces and two nephews.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House at Erlanger. She was very fond of her niece Barbara Flaherty and the family wishes to thank Dr. McCravey and his staff for 25 years of care and service during her multiple bouts with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 26,  at the Chapel of Devotion in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or a charity of choice.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
