Splash Into Spring Paddlesports Festival And Demo Day Cancelled

Saturday, May 4, 2013
Outdoor Chattanooga announced that their Splash Into Spring Paddlesports Festival and Demo Day, scheduled for Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the TVA Chickamauga Dam Reservation is cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions.

Torrential rains, flood warnings along the Tennessee River watershed, low air temperatures and predictions for intermittent thunderstorms have caused the cancellation.

The event was slated to offer the public a chance to try a variety of paddlesports for free.
Over 20 exhibitors, including kayak, canoe and standup paddleboard manufacturers, as well as water conservation organizations, had committed their time and resources to attend the event.

L2 Boards’ Cinco de Mayo SUP Challenge race will take place as scheduled. For any questions concerning the SUP race, please call Mark Baldwin at L2 Boards (423) 313-5888.
