Splash Into Spring Paddlesports Festival And Demo Day Cancelled

Outdoor Chattanooga announced that their Splash Into Spring Paddlesports Festival and Demo Day, scheduled for Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the TVA Chickamauga Dam Reservation is cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions.

Torrential rains, flood warnings along the Tennessee River watershed, low air temperatures and predictions for intermittent thunderstorms have caused the cancellation.

The event was slated to offer the public a chance to try a variety of paddlesports for free.
Over 20 exhibitors, including kayak, canoe and standup paddleboard manufacturers, as well as water conservation organizations, had committed their time and resources to attend the event.

TFWC Sets 2017-18 Hunting Seasons At May Meeting

DAYTON, Tenn. --- The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission established the state’s 2017-18 hunting and trapping seasons at its May meeting which concluded Wednesday on the campus of Bryan College. Man Shot In Home Invasion Early Wednesday Morning
