Fiery Crash Results In A Fatality In Bradley County

One person was killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash in Bradley County on Monday afternoon.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Service sent two ambulances and a shift commander to a reported crash at the intersection of State Highway 60 (Georgetown Road) and Eureka Road. Initial reports were that there was a single-vehicle crash with a person inside unresponsive with fire beneath the vehicle.

Emergency crews received the call at 2:45 p.m.

and arrived within minutes. EMS crews found what appeared to be a Ford Explorer involved in flames. They attempted to extinguish the fire with fire extinguishers, but the flames were too high.

There was one occupant in the vehicle - the driver. The injuries sustained were fatal.

EMS contacted the Bradley County Medical Examiner's Office to respond. The accident is under investigation.
