County Commission May Exempt Unincorporated Areas From Distilleries

The County Commission is set to vote next Wednesday on a resolution that would exempt unincorporated portions of the county from a new bill authorizing distilleries.

The commission legal committee recommended approval.

There would have to be a referendum and a favorable vote before a distillery would be allowed out in the county.

Chattanooga Distillery is planning an operation on the Southside after getting legislative approval.
