Hilda Ruth Bridges Gordy, 69, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gordy; parents, Homer and Pearl Hullender Bridges; sisters, Inez Walker Ogle and Sara Walraven, and brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Bridges.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Dawn (Rick) Coffman of Hixson; sisters, Doris B. (Skiles) Roach of Ringgold, and Dimple Cook of Ringgold, three brothers, Homer “Jr” Bridges of Ringgold, Gene (Jo) Bridges of Ringgold, and Tommy (Shelia) Bridges of Ringgold, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Melvin Bridges and Reverend Jerry Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, from 5-9 p.m., all day on Saturday, and until funeral time on Sunday at the funeral home.
