Open House Of Memorial's South Tower Is June 23

A public open house of Memorial's South Tower will be held Sunday, June 23, from 1-4 p.m. A variety of health screenings and physician-led health discussions will be offered. Attendees may attend guided tours of Memorial’s new state-of-the-art operating suites for cardiovascular and orthopedic surgery, the cardiovascular intensive care unit, and other areas.

A select number of those interested will have the rare opportunity to don sterile coveralls (bunny suits), and bonnets for a rare, behind-the-scenes tour of Memorial’s surgical sterilization area.

 

With more than 100,000 square feet of new construction and extensive renovation of the existing space the new south tower includes 27 operating rooms, state-of-the-art sterilization equipment and an expansive waiting area with a new entrance. The addition was built in collaboration with physicians and staff, creating functional spaces that can deliver both advanced care and positive patient experiences.

Man Robbed, Stabbed At Hixson Pike Bus Stop

A man was robbed and stabbed at a bus stop on Hixson Pike on Tuesday night. At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were called concerning a robbery at 3800 Hixson Pike.
