Margaret Massey
Margaret Massey "Bucky" Douglas died peacefully at home with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren by her side, on Friday, May 31, 2013.
She was born in Nashville, on Sept. 17, 1927, to the late John and Fannie Bell. Margaret graduated from Winchester High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with highest honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
She was a real estate broker for 40 years in Chattanooga, and Jupiter, Fla. Margaret was dedicated to her clients, helping find the home of their dreams. She was a lifetime member of the million-dollar-club. Margaret also volunteered at the Junior League of Chattanooga and the Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain.
Margaret, also known as "Bucky" by her friends in Chattanooga, was an avid golfer and bridge player. She never met a stranger and her zest for life made her the life of the party.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Douglas; Jim Douglas; Sam Douglas; Caroline Bell and grandchildren, Jimmy and Frances Roberts; Elizabeth Douglas; Taylor and Kate Bell; Amber and Sean Douglas.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services.
