Gordon Mote To Be In Concert At Bayside Baptist Sunday

Gordon Mote will be in concert at Bayside Baptist Church, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, on Sunday, at 6:30 p.m. He will also participate in the 10:15 a.m.worship service. Admission to the concert is free but a love offering will be taken.

Mr. Mote is a minister/singer/songwriter/musician. Born totally blind, he has overcome the challenges of his life and risen to the top of his profession and calling in both the secular and Christian arenas. He has toured for over six and a half years as a featured vocalist with the award-winning Gaither Vocal Band and the Gaither Homecoming Tour.

He has also played for the Gaither Vocal Band and all Homecoming artists on stage. He is the most sought-after session player in Nashville in both Gospel and Country genres. The last two years of eligibility, he has been honored to receive the Academy of Country Music's Keyboard/Piano Player of the Year award.

Lookout Mountain, Ga., Raises Sewer Rates; Joins In Kudzu Fight

The Lookout Mountain, Ga., City Council on Thursday night approved an increase in sewer charges.
