A mistrial was declared Thursday in the Kaylon Bailey case after authorities said a juror did some Internet "research" about the case on Wednesday night.
The juror then shared the findings with other jurors, it was stated.
Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern then declared a mistrial.
Jurors are admonished not to do any research on their own or to read anything about the case through any source.
Bailey is charged with shooting and killing Kima Evans on Jan. 13, 2012.
The trial had been going on since Tuesday and was near the end.
The victim was shot numerous times while seated in a vehicle.
