Hutcheson Reports $467,408 Loss For May

Hutcheson Medical Center announced May financial results at Monday’s Board of Directors’ Budget and Finance Committee meeting.  

Hospital officials reported an operating loss of $467,408, citing additional expenses associated with implementing the hospital’s new electronic medical records (EMR) system.  

Year to date, the hospital is positive $289,819 and is $9,781,488 ahead compared to last year.

Erlanger Health System is projecting a $10.8 million profit for the upcoming fiscal year - with the help of $19 million in federal funds from a pool for public hospitals. The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded grants totaling more than $800,000 to three Tennessee projects that aim to display and preserve historical materials.
