Man Attempts To Rob East Brainerd Road Kangaroo Express Early Friday Morning

Friday, June 28, 2013

A man attempted to rob a convenience store early Friday at approximately 2:12 a.m.

A white man who appeared to be in his 20s, approximately six feet tall, slim build, wearing gray cargo pants, light gray long-sleeved shirt and sun glasses entered the Kangaroo Express at 9652 East Brainerd Road.

The suspect approached the cash register with items from the store and asked the clerk for two packs of cigarettes. He told the clerk he had a gun and demanded she empty the register. The clerk refused to open the register and the suspect left the store.

A witness at the gas pumps said the suspect left the area driving silver Chevy Cruze with a possible sunroof.
