Nelms Will Face Blakely In TGA Match Play Round Of 16

NASHVILLE -- Former Chattanoogans Josh Nelms and Nick Blakely qualified for stroke play Friday in the 2013 Tennessee Match-Play Championship at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club.

 

Nelms and Blakely will play Saturday morning in the round of 16. Chattanooga's Tom Schreiner also advanced.

Mike Poe from Athens earned a spot in the Senior quarterfinals.

CCS Rallies To Beat District Rival Sequatchie County 32-28

The Chattanooga Christian School football team earned a key district win Friday night, rallying to beat Sequatchie County 32-28. EPB Officials Huddle With Attorneys Over City Street Lighting Issue

EPB board members huddled with attorneys on the issue of billing for city street lights on Friday morning. EPB Chairman Joe Ferguson asked for the private session with attorneys Rick Hitchcock and Tom Greenholtz of Chambliss Bahner. A woman is dead after a shooting in Catoosa County.
