Lebron Brown, 24, is in custody after trying to run over a Chattanooga police officer.
On Saturday, at approximately 1:27 a.m., Officer Nathan Rogers shot at a suspect who attempted to run over him in the 100 block of Elmwood Drive. Brown was struck in the arm by a bullet but was still able to drive and fled. He later arrived at a local hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury where he was taken into custody and has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Officer Rogers was not injured during the incident and has been placed on administrative leave with pay which is standard procedure for an officer involved in a shooting.
The incident is under investigation by the Internal Affairs and Major Crimes Divisions. More information will be released when available.
