Janice Jenkins, 75, of Dalton, GA, died Sunday morning, June 02, 2013 at her residence.
Janice was born November 4, 1937 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Carl and Lola Patterson Barton; and was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Barton.
She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly. She loved to play the piano.
She is survived by her husband, D.L. Jenkins; sons and daughter-in-law, David Lamar and Vicki Jenkins and Larry Tate; daughters, Sharon Ann Berheisel and Judy Lynn Jenkins all of Dalton; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Janice Jenkins will be held Wednesday June 5, at 11 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at the Ponders Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
