Project Success Scheduled For July 15-26 At 2nd Missionary Baptist Church

The summer session of Project Success will be held July 15-26 for youth – middle through high school. 

Registration forms are available at Second Missionary Baptist Church.  The college fieldtrip will be to Paine College in Augusta, GA.  Adult volunteers are still needed as chaperones, kitchen assistants, session leaders and lookoutsJ.  

If you are willing to give any time to this initiative, contact Deborah Maddox at 488-4643 and she will put you on the schedule.

  Additionally to assist, we are asking for monetary donations to provide meals for the participants. Please call 488-4643 to make any tax-deductible contribution.  Make all checks payable to Second Missionary Services, Inc. and you can be provided with a tax receipt.

Child, 23 Months, Found Dead In Crib With Fentanyl Patch On Back; Death Ruled Homicide

A 23-month-old Chattanooga boy has been found dead in his crib with a Fentanyl patch on his back. The death of Demarcus Bryant at 7655 Borris Dr. last month was ruled a homicide. An autopsy report says he died from "Fentanyl patch placed by someone else." Chattanooga Police are investigating. No one has yet been charged. The child was found face down in his crib. ...
