Second Missionary Services Has Garage Sale July 20

Second Missionary Services, Inc. and the Churchville Neighborhood Association will be hosting a garage sale and fish fry on Saturday, July 20, at 2200 Blackford St., next to the Dodson Avenue Apartments.  The event will occur from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.  

Funds from this event will be to support efforts to engage youth in community service projects and educational outreach initiatives.  They will deliver four or more sandwiches and every yard sale item will be sold to go.  The doors will not close with items still left in the building to sell.

City Council Presents Potential Ordinance To Address Noise Level Downtown

Members of the Chattanooga City Council presented a potential ordinance to address concerns about the noise level downtown. If passed, the ordinance will put limits on both dB(A) and dB(C) levels of sound. It was noted, "When we compare our dB level, it is clear that Chattanooga is lower than Nashville and Knoxville." Man Shot On Ohls Avenue While Working In His Yard

A Chattanooga man was shot Tuesday evening, while working in his yard. At approximately 8:55 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 4217 Ohls Ave. for a shooting.
