Diving League Championships Start Friday; 2 Baylor Divers To Take Part In AAU Championships

The Chattanooga Area Diving League Championship will start on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Signal Mountain pool .

Baylor Diving Club's Natalie Smallen (9) and Eva Binder (12) have qualified and will participate in the 2013 AAU Diving National Championship at the Northside Swim Center in San Antonio, Tex., July 23-29.  Both Natalie and Eva will participate in the 1-M and 3-M events only.  They will compete on the 1-M on Tuesday July 23, and on the 3-M on Wednesday July 24.



BayBears Nip Lookouts Wednesday, 1-0, In Mobile

-Chattanooga Mocs senior golfer Emily McLennan tees off Thursday at the NCAA Shoal Creek Regional just outside Birmingham. The three-day, 54-hole event concludes Saturday. The top six teams and three individuals on non-advancing squads move on to the NCAA Championships at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore. Teen Shot Multiple Times On Wilson Street On Wednesday Night; Injuries "Life-Threatening"

A teenager was shot multiple times on Wilson Street on Wednesday night. The incident was in the 1900 block around 6:30 p.m. The 911 caller said the victim was on her porch. Officer Joel Gunn of the Chattanooga Police Department and a woman who was fired at after she walked into the scene of a shooting testified in court Wednesday concerning the shooting at the Chateau Royale Apartments on South Germantown Road on April 22.
