Thelma Walker
Thelma Olivia Walker, 92, died on July 15, 2013 at Health Center at Standifer Place at the Hospice Unit.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She was a faithful, devoted, loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and cousin until her health failed her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Walker, Sr.; father, Orlando Price; mother, Fannie Lou Russell; two daughters, Doris F. Walker and Virginia Forest; sons, Freddrick B. and Herman Walker.
Survivors include sons, John (Rinabelle) Walker of Denver; Orlando “Pooka” Walker, Jerry (Sylvia) Walker, Gregory (Roslyn) Walker of Chattanooga; Larry (Ramona) Walker of Nashville; daughters, Gwendolyn Reynolds, Veronica “Ronnie” Walker and Cheryl A. Walker, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a devoted great-granddaughter, Aaliyah S. Walker; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 20, at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, July 19, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
