Northside Neighborhood House Seeking School Supplies For Children In Need

  • Tuesday, July 23, 2013

The Northside Neighborhood House needs the community’s support as it prepares to provide school supplies to children living north of the river.  The Back to School Shop will take place August 5-6.  Parents will shop with their students and pick out items on their child’s supply list from the Back to School Shop.

“Each year, we receive calls from neighbors needing support with getting their children ready to go back to school.  Many of our clients struggle to provide for basic needs on a monthly basis, so this added cost imposes a huge financial strain on their family.  Last year was our first year of providing this support to our neighbors.

We are looking forward to serving at least 200 children this year,” said Executive Director Rachel Gammon.

School supplies are being collected at the agency building and also each of the two NNH Thrift Stores located at 209 Minor Street and 241 Signal Mountain Rd.
