Chattanooga Golden Gloves Boxers Reunion Is Aug. 10

A reunion for all former Chattanooga Golden Gloves Boxers will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Luken Boxing Gym behind Red Bank High School at 640 Morrisons Springs Road.  

The event will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and is free to former boxers, coaches, and officials. Family members, friends, and fans are also welcome.  

A Shuford's barbeque plate will be sold for $10 per person.

Six Area Players Voted To TSWA Girls All-State Team

Six Chattanooga-area players have been voted to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association girls all-state high school basketball team. BayBears Nip Lookouts Wednesday, 1-0, In Mobile

Mobile edged Chattanooga by a final of 1-0  Wednesday  night at Hank Aaron Stadium. The win snapped a 0-7 start to the BayBears' 2016 home schedule. Federal Government Sues Life Care's Forrest Preston, Saying He Received Millions In Medicare Funds He Was Not Entitled To

Federal attorneys have sued Forrest Preston, founder and chairman of Cleveland, Tn.,-based Life Care Centers of America, claiming that he was "unjustly enriched" by receiving Medicare funds he was not entitled.
