The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will look into whether a Cleveland, Tn., police officer sexually assaulted a woman.
Officer Ross Wooten was suspended from his job after the alleged incident.
Kristin Helm of the TBI said the victim filed a formal complaint with the Cleveland Police Department alleging that the officer sexually assaulted her at her residence.
The 10th Judicial District Attorney General’s office asked for TBI's help and will get the TBI findings.
Wooten was charged in 2006 with allegedly having sexual relations with two suspects. He was cleared of the charges in a jury trial.
