British Country Gospel Group To Perform At First-Centenary United Methodist

Live Issue, a popular Country Gospel group in the British Isles, will return in July to Nashville to sing on the Grand Ole Opry. On the way they will perform at  First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 410 McCallie Ave., in The Vine Saturday at 5 p.m. The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken.

Dr. Doug Fairbanks will speak at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. worship services Sunday on "Making A House Call For Jesus," with text from Luke 10:1-11 and 16-20. The Rev. Brian Davis will speak in The Vine at 10:45 on "Evangelism, the New Dirty Word," with text from Galatians 6:1-6 and Luke 10:1-11, 16-20.



Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus In Chattanooga On “Broadway Tour”

Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Hixson Pike Saturday Night

A pedestrian was struck and killed on Saturday night on Hixson Pike. Chattanooga Police Department responded at 10:05 p.m. to a pedestrian struck at 5400 Hixson Pike.   A Ford F150 driven by Francis Lamonica, 66, was traveling north in the fast lane. Aaron Biddle, 21, Shot And Killed On Basswood Drive Saturday Afternoon; Jadarius Knox, 23, Arrested For Criminal Homicide

Aaron Biddle, 21, was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon. Jadarius Knox, 23, has been arrested, and charged with criminal homicide. The Chattanooga Police Department responded around 3:45 p.m. to the 7800 block of Basswood Drive on reports of a person who had been shot.  Upon arrival, police were able to locate the victim who had succumbed to his injuries.
