Police have arrested Claudia Sanchez after a witness said he saw her hit her three children with an iron, cable cords and her fist.

Ms. Sanchez, 34, of 113 Sequoia Dr., is charged with three counts of aggravated child abuse.

Enrique Herrera told police he observed the beatings while he was staying with Ms. Sanchez. He said he was afraid to report it at the time because he had nowhere else to live.

He said he photographed some of the injuries on his phone. Police were shown pictures of the children with various bruises.

Police said Ms. Sanchez admitted to disciplining her children, but would not say if she used any objects in doing so.

A Child Protective Services investigator said Ms. Sanchez has a history of abusing her children.

The children were taken into custody by the state.
