Erlanger Will Not Enter Into Lease With Hutcheson Hospital

  • Saturday, August 10, 2013

Officials with Hutcheson Medical Center and Erlanger Health System jointly announced that the two hospitals were unable to finalize a lease negotiation for Hutcheson to lease its facility to Erlanger.  Hutcheson will proceed with soliciting bids from outside entities for a long term partnership with the north Georgia hospital.

“It is in the best interest of Hutcheson that we seek a long-term partner so that North Georgia residents are served by a strong, viable community hospital,” stated Hutcheson Chairman Corky Jewell.

“Erlanger is supportive of the RFP process and will continue to support Hutcheson Medical Center while they evaluate offers with other potential partners,” stated Kevin M.

Spiegel, FACHE Erlanger’s President and CEO.
