Hattie Mae Collins, 89, of Hixson, died on Friday, August 9, 2013.

She was the oldest member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

Ms. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Collins, her parents, James and Jesse Hardy and all of her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Donald Collins, Judy Miller, Connie Mack Collins and Gary Collins; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews..

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Brother Don Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Sniedtman Cemetery. 

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, and 4-9 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Martha Jane Harper, 72, died on December 4, 2016.  She lived in Chattanooga since the 1980's.  Jane was born in Atlanta, Georgia.  She attended Emory University and LaGrange College, and graduated from Georgia State University.  She later received her Masters of Remedial Reading degree from the University of Georgia. Chattanooga Man With 5 Violent Felonies Gets 30 Years In Prison

A Chattanooga man with five violent felonies on his record has been sentenced to serve 30 years in prison. Demetrius Joiner, 30, was given a 20-year sentence by Judge Curtis Collier after he was ruled to be an Armed Career Criminal.
