Linda Lee Powell Payne, 71, of Chickamauga, GA and formerly of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Thursday evening, August 8, 2013 at a Fort Oglethorpe, GA hospital.
She was of the Christian faith. Ms. Payne loved spending time with her grandchildren, sketching, and painting. She was a retired Registered Nurse from Erlanger Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Allen Powell and Mary Ellen Lee Powell; and was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Eleanor Merciers and Sue Hill.
Survivors include her three daughters, Yvonne Carter and husband Sam of East Ridge, TN, Janice Stone of Chattanooga, TN and Donna Hill and husband Terry of Chickamauga, GA; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Serenity Funeral Home of Cleveland has charge of the arrangements.
