Nipper, Christine (Pikeville)

Christine Nipper, 88, of Pikeville, TN, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013. 

She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working crossword puzzles and cooking. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton “Bull” Nipper; sons, Joe and Greg Nipper; parents, William and Ada Sullivan; two brothers; and eight sisters. 

Christine is survived and will be missed by her daughter, Suzanne Nipper; grandchildren, Ami Lea Nipper, Savannah Rose Nipper, Jennifer Lynn Nipper and Leslie Warren Nipper; great-grandchildren, Leah, Carlton, Carissa, Mahala, Katie and Raiden; daughter-in-law, Anita Nipper; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends and caregivers. 

Services will be held on Monday, August 12, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ronny Colvard officiating. Burial will be in the Humble Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 11. 

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be made in Christine’s honor to the Alzheimers Association. 

Pikeville Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
