Wreck Shuts Down Corral Road On Signal Mountain

Saturday, August 10, 2013 - by Judy Frank
Three people were injured and Corral Road was closed Saturday afternoon due to a two-vehicle accident, according to Walden’s Ridge Emergency Service volunteers.

They said the victims included a man and woman who had been riding in a pickup truck, and a woman driving a car.

The two vehicles collided head-on, according to a man who lives just down the road from where the wreck occurred.

By early evening workers had spread sand on the curved section of Corral where the vehicles collided, and the road had reopened.

Several ambulances rushed to the scene, and all three victims reportedly were taken to area hospitals.

The severity of their injuries has not been released.
