Gladys Parker
Gladys W. Parker, 88, of Rossville, died on August 11, 2013 at her residence.
She had lived most of her life in the Rossville area where she was a member of McFarland UMC. She retired in the early 1970’s from Cutter Laboratories with over 20 years of service. Her passions in life were laughing, having a good time, enjoying her family, enjoying life, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jack Parker; grandson, Rodney Short; parents, Smitty Smith and Ethel Waller Smith; and two brothers, Lewis and Ray Waller.
Survivors include her children, Terri (Bill) Short of Fort Oglethorpe and Cathy Parker (Tom Ford) of Ringgold; brother, Bobby Waller of Florida; granddaughter, Angie (Jason) Scarbrough; great grandchildren, Savannah and Brecken Griffith and Haley Scarbrough; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pat Wafford, Christy Kincaid, and Life Choice Hospice for their love and care during this time.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Chaplain Marv Eskew officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
