Pattentown Road Closed This Week For Construction

Monday, August 12, 2013
Stephens Construction will be closing Pattentown Road just south of Apison Pike for a storm sewer project.   

The closure will be for the duration of the project due to the depth of the trench, and is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and completion is expected by Thursday afternoon.    

Detours will be posted using Bork Memorial Drive and Blue Bell Avenue. 

Ooltewah Ringgold Road (SR 321) At Standifer Gap Road Roundabout Construction Phase II Traffic Detour

In order to safely construct the roundabout, the west side of Standifer Gap Road, (Eastbound approach), will be closed to thru traffic, and detour signs will be posted, beginning on Oct. 17, and scheduled for completion on Dec. 31.  Ooltewah Ringgold Road (SR 321) will remain open (North and Southbound thru traffic.)  Motorists are reminded of the reduced ... Father Killed By Train Just After Pushing Daughter To Safety In East Brainerd

A 31-year-old man was killed just after he pushed his 10-year-old daughter to safety in an encounter with a train on a trestle in East Brainerd on Thursday afternoon.
