The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Governor’s Highway Safety Office, will be conducting sobriety checkpoints on Friday.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be covering various highways, streets and roads within the unincorporated areas of Hamilton County. These locations will include but not limited to Highway 27, Middle Valley Road, Hixson Pike, Sequoyah Road and Dallas Hollow Road.
The sobriety checkpoints will be held between the hours of 6 p.m.
and 1 a.m. The goal will be to reduce crashes, remove intoxicated and impaired drivers, and to save lives on the streets and highways. Special attention will be placed on the impaired/intoxicated drivers as well as those who choose not to utilize their seatbelts.
