Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers, dedicated to helping disabled U.S. veterans by providing new opportunities for training and employment in the insurance industry, announced the appointment of M. Christopher Scoggins as a regional director.
In 1996, Mr. Scoggins founded Chattanooga-based Cornerstone Insurance Group, a full-service property and casualty agency which includes personal lines, commercial lines, professional liability and benefits employing 51 employees in seven offices. Prior to founding Cornerstone, he worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Mr. Scoggins has served as past president of Professional Insurance Agents in the Chattanooga area and has served on agency council boards for several national insurance companies. Cornerstone Insurance Group is a member of PIA and Insurers of Tennessee. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.

Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers is a nonprofit organization with the mission to educate, train and generate meaningful employment opportunities for physically disabled veterans who will excel at proactively cross-selling personal lines insurance products on behalf of leading independent insurance agencies.
