DB101 Begins Sunday At Dallas Bay Baptist

Thursday, August 15, 2013

An important part of choosing a church home is learning what that local fellowship believes and how it operates, according to Dr. Ken Duggan, pastor of Dallas Bay Baptist Church, 8405 Daisy Dallas Road.   DB101 will begin this Sunday, at the beginning of the 9 and 10:30 a.m. worship services.  Dr. Duggan said, "you may have only recently joined Dallas Bay or you may still be praying about your decision.

I would like to help in the process. DB101 is a class prepared to give you enough information to help you make an intelligent choice concerning church membership."

The class will cover subjects like How did Dallas Bay begin; What is the vision of the church; What does Dallas Bay teach about important doctrines of the faith? There will be many other topics covered as well as a Q&A time at the end of each class. The class is both informative and fun. It is a great way to know new friends. The class is taught at the beginning of our services in our Pastor's Reception Area.

Furthermore, Peter’s message to those present in the upper room constituted the first sermon to the newly birthed Church.  Peter focused on the evidences ... (click for more)

Case Handled Like Any Other? - And Response

It is interesting that Chief Fletcher would deem the handling of the Mayor's encounter as typical or normal. Is the Chief asking the public to believe that all misdemeanor domestic violence arrests include a 4-hour taped interrogation, and delayed reporting after a visit to the Chief’s house. Of course, we believe that Chief Fletcher. April Eidson * * *  I ... (click for more)

Earlier this week, after I shared a story about bullying written by a very brave mother, it opened a floodgate of emails from parents and students who have been forced to endure such madness in our elementary, junior and senior high schools. Discipline is the No. 1 problem in our schools. Because of it, or because of a lack of it, no wonder our children cannot achieve all that ... (click for more)
