Stanley, Eugene M. (Dalton)

Eugene M. Stanley, 82, of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center. 

He was the son of the late Vester and Hazel Stanley; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Celia Hardin Stanley. 

Eugene was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Kinnamon Stanley of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Lyndon Holloway of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Karen Stanley of Ringgold, Mark and April Stanley of Dalton, Russell and Heather Stanley of Sugar Valley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene Holloway and the late Warner Holloway of Dalton, Verna Lee and Leon Couch of Tennessee, Wilma Gibson and the late Hoot Gibson, Glenda and Bill Cornutt, Lavelle and Porter Marcus all of Dalton; special friends, Arnold Phillips and Jimmy Gallman both of Dalton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Stanley will be Friday, August 16 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Doug Couch and Ross Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA. 

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday, August 15 from 5-9 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Central Church of Christ, P.O. Box 1201, Dalton, Ga. 30722-1201 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675. 

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave, Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
