Burks UMC Announces New Wednesday Night Opportunities

Burks United Methodist Church, 6433 Hixson Pike, announced its new Wednesday Night Discipleship opportunities, beginning next Wednesday. The traditional dinner will be offered at a cost of $7 for adults and $3 for children. Serving will be available from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Reservations may be made through the church office at 842-4219. 

A Fall Gathering series will be in the Gym/Activity Center beginning at 6:30 p.

m. with appetizers served until 7:30, with a cost of $5. The adult series will be addressing some of our culture's most controversial issues. The topic next Wednesday will be "Unfairness of Heaven." The Youth Ministry program will have prayer time, games and a lesson series on Character led by Jim Gilbertson and Dan Boland.


Rivermont Presbyterian Presents "Invitation To A Miracle" Christmas Cantata Dec. 18

The Chancel Choir of Rivermont Presbyterian Church, 3319 Hixson Pike, will present the Christmas cantata "Invitation to a Miracle" on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the 11 a.m. service. Union Gospel Mission Has Community Christmas Dinner Dec. 23
