The International Business Council Meeting will meet on Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. and will discuss local businesses and entrepreneurs with international connections and global solutions.
The program will highlight three Chattanooga stories:
Strat Parrot, one of Chattanooga's earliest social media professionals, owner of Juncture, built his business to incorporate his graphic design expertise, social media savvy and marketing strategies. He will highlight some of his recent projects in Japan as an internet marketing consultant with Redbull and Mini Cooper.
Don Lepard is the owner of Global Green Lighting, the company that is completing a $6 million contract with the city of Chattanooga on a street lighting system. Mr. Lepard will talk about his journey from starting the company with manufacturing operation in China to now fully operating in a Hixson facility.
Steve Thaxton, director of Infrastructure Development at Propex Operating Company, will share the global strategies of a company with headquarters in Chattanooga and presence in Hungary, Germany, UK, Mexico and Brazil. From Propex website: "Billions of people depend on Propex to stabilize a shifting world and protect the modern way of life." Mr. Thaxton will tell how Propex's engineered products help build and rebuild key infrastructure worldwide.
