Art + Issues Explores Experimentation With Tim Hinck Thursday

An in-gallery discussion on experimentation in life, art, and planning led by Tim Hinck, a composer and creative innovator, will be the topic for Art + Issues at the Hunter Museum of American Art Thursday at 6 p.m. 

Mr. Hinck was inspired by the Beverly Semmes work, 4'33", found in the Hunter's contemporary gallery. 

The Art + Issues program series uses works of art as the catalyst to spark discussions about community issues of concern. The discussions are led by community leaders. To learn more, visit   huntermuseum.org or call 267-0968.

Shane Daughetee Memorial Sign Dedication Is Thursday

Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger will host the dedication ceremony for the Shane M. City Council Presents Potential Ordinance To Address Noise Level Downtown

Members of the Chattanooga City Council presented a potential ordinance to address concerns about the noise level downtown. If passed, the ordinance will put limits on both dB(A) and dB(C) levels of sound. It was noted, "When we compare our dB level, it is clear that Chattanooga is lower than Nashville and Knoxville." Man Shot On Ohls Avenue While Working In His Yard

A Chattanooga man was shot Tuesday evening, while working in his yard. At approximately 8:55 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 4217 Ohls Ave. for a shooting.
