Tommy G. Tucci Beaty, of Harrison, died on Thursday, August 1, 2013.  He was 77.

Tommy was born on March 12, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, was raised in Crossville, TN, and was a longtime resident of the Harrison area.  He graduated from Crossville High School and the Tennessee State Highway Patrol School.  Tommy worked for the State of Tennessee for over 46 years.  He started his career as a Park Ranger at Cumberland Mountain State Park, was promoted to Superintendent of Harrison Bay State Park for the next 30 years and retired as area manager with the State of Tennessee. 

Tommy was a longtime member of Bayside Baptist Church.  Tommy was an avid Tennessee Volunteer football fan where he had the same season seats at Neyland Stadium for 44 years.  He also loved the outdoors and his farming and was a member of the Cattleman Association. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore Tucci and Lola Stamps Tucci Beaty and his step-father, Coy Pless Beaty; brother, Coy Beaty, Jr. and a sister, Brenda Favors.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Norma Moore Beaty; children, Carol Beaty, Gary (Brenda) Beaty, Steve Beaty and Curt (Karen) Beaty; grandchildren, Carmen, Gary Tom, Misti, Whitney, Tanner and Jessica Beaty; great grandchildren, Sophia and Sierra Beaty; sisters, Donna Sue Joyce and Bernice Beaty; his special uncle, Andrew Stamps and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, and again on Monday, Aug. 5, from 12-1 p.m., at Bayside Baptist Church, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, TN 37341.

A celebration of Tommy’s service will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, at the church with Pastor Eric Stitts officiating.  Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jamie Nicholson, Jason Jackson, Ronald Hood, Andy Lyons, Daryl Jordan and Anthony Lemley serving as pallbearers. 

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Tommy’s name to Bayside Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society at 6221 Shallowford Road, Suite 102, Chattanooga, TN 37421-1972.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
