Backpack Blessing, Rally Day At St. Timothy's Episcopal Sunday

  • Thursday, August 22, 2013

The blessing of the backpacks will return this year during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday, at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., Signal Mountain. All students are encouraged to bring their backpacks to church for a back to school blessing. Kids will be given a special memento from the blessing to remind them that God's love is always with them.

Rally Day will follow the service with food, water slides, dunk tank and snow cones. Everyone is invited. Kids bring your swim suits.

There will be fun for all ages. There will be an old fashioned Dinner on the Grounds with Champy's Fried Chicken, green beans, potato salad and cakes from Southern Star. There is no charge for this event. Jumpy houses will be set up for the younger kids to play outside. Don't forget your lawn chairs or blankets.
