Big Table discussion at McCallie.

McCallie’s Big Table kicked off its second year Tuesday as senior day student Bassem Salama discussed his recent first-hand account of the political challenges in Egypt and offered insight on that country’s situation.

Bassem spent the summer with members of his extended family who live in Cairo and witnessed the tensions which have now exploded into violence; grisly scenes which have been shown on our national news broadcasts in recent weeks.

Big Table is a lunchtime, come-as-you-are conversation/presentation for students and staff. It is designed as a means to get the campus talking about interesting topics with interesting people.
