Larkin Pritchard, 78, of Dalton, GA, died on Friday, August 2, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Larkin was born September 2, 1934 in Cleveland, TN, a son of the late James Robert and Maude “Jewell” Hampton Pritchard. Larkin was a 1953 graduate of Dalton High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Shaw Industries.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Pritchard, Cotton Pritchard and Johnny Pritchard; and his sisters, Margaret White, Martha Worley and Betty Springfield.
He is survived his wife, Gilda Farmer Pritchard of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Shanda Stout of Calhoun, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Stacey and Lee Davis of Sugar Valley, GA and Rhonda Gail and James Mosley of Portland, TN; grandchildren, Angel Ann Mosley, Summer Shay Mosley, Destine Sheree Jones, Jade Elizabeth Davis, Lucius Stout, Abby Stout, Kenadee Stout and Bo Stout; great-grandchild, Laraina Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome and Jean Pritchard, Bill and Becky Pritchard and Liz Pritchard all of Dalton, GA; special nieces, Lisa Bromblett and Cindy Heath; and special friend, Toby Anderson.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Larkin Pritchard will be held Monday, August 5, at 5 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 4 p.m. until the service hour.
