Chattanooga Goodwill Industries will host the first of a series of job fairs beginning next Wednesday, September 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at its Training and Logistics Center warehouse facility, 3321 Dodds Avenue.
Applications will be accepted for the following positions: warehouse assistants, donation center attendants, recycling sorters, truck drivers and contracts assemblers.
The job fair at the Chattanooga warehouse location will be the first of several job fairs planned for the 23-county Chattanooga Goodwill service area over the next several weeks. Goodwill serves counties throughout Southeastern Tennessee and Northwestern Georgia.
Full-time employment applicants for positions are sought, as well as applicants seeking “as needed” or “on call” work opportunities – a first for Chattanooga Goodwill. There is no guarantee of hours, but on-call employees receive valuable experience and a foot in the door for permanent employment.
“(On-call employees) will be working in a variety of jobs and locations within their home area,” said Sharleen Robinson, Vice President of Human Resources. “It will be a great way to learn a variety of skills and is tailored for the person who wants to maintain flexibility while earning extra money. And, it's a perfect position to be in when a permanent position opens.”
Chattanooga Goodwill Industries is an equal opportunity employer and is a Tennessee Certified Drug Free Workplace.
