Kenneth Baker, 76, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 in a local hospital.
He was a member of Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was an owner and operator of Bradley County school buses for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Baker and Pearl Martin Baker; son, Dean Baker; and brothers, Charlie and Roy Baker.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Baker of Cleveland; three children, Susan Lewis, Rick Beck and wife Wendy and Marie Gorman and husband Bobby, all of Cleveland; eight grandchildren, Chris Baker, Alex Lewis, Savannah Lewis, C.J. Beck, Cody Beck, David Eyler, Heather Killian and Robert Gorman; one great-grandchild, Brantley Eyler; sister, Sue Carter of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, at Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel White officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
