Dorothy Holt
Dorothy Carlean Holt, 92, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and homemaker.
Born on June 25, 1921, Dorothy Carlean Adams was a 1939 graduate of Central High School. Carlean was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Holt; sister, Helen Smith; brother, J.C. Adams and a granddaughter, Tonya Holt.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorine (Lamar) Bagley, Chattanooga; son, David Holt, Chattanooga; granddaughters, Carrie (Scott) Dean, Prattville, AL and Sherry Mast, Nashville brother; J.W. Adams and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Mark Flynn officiating.
The family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Friday.
Mrs. Holt's family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of NHC of Chattanooga for the excellent care given during her stay there.
The family requests no flowers, please. Memorial contributions be made to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank or to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund.
