Sunday School Moving Up Day At Signal Crest United Methodist Is Sunday

Sunday School Moving Up Day will be Sunday, at Signal Crest United Methodist Church, 1005 Ridgeway Ave. Children will move up to the next grade level for the fall session, starting at 10 a.m.  A church-wide pool. party will be at Signal Mountain Town Pool Sunday with food at 5:45 p.m. and the pool open at 6 p.m. Bring a picnic. Ice cream treats will be provided.

Preschool will have a parent night on Thursday, Aug. 15, with the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 19.

Large Hole Develops In Lane Of I-24 Eastbound Over Chestnut Street; Emergency Repair Undertaken

A large hole developed in the I-24 eastbound bridge over Chestnut Street in Chattanooga on Sunday evening. 12 Lost Hikers Rescued At Rainbow Lake, Edwards Point

Eleven adults and a child were briefly lost at Rainbow Lake and Edwards Point trails on Signal Mountain on Sunday. A 911 call was made at 9:45 p.m. from one of the hikers reporting the group lost sunlight hiking out of the trails at Edwards Point.
