Sam Eberle Leads North Past South In All-Star Game

Former Notre Dame High School baseball player Same Eberle helped the South Division to an 8-7 win over North Division this past week in the Northwest League All-Star Game. 

Eberle hit a fourth-inning homerun and had a lead-off single in the ninth inning to help the South to the come from behind victory. 

 He earned the MiLB.com Top Star Award after scoring three runs. 

 Eberle plays third base for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. He is in his first season for the Class A farm team of the San Francisco Giants.

Dalton State Coach Tony Ingle has announced the first step in the reloading process as he looks to replace four starters and even more key contributors from last season’s National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Championship team. An Athens,Tn., physician, his wife and college-age daughter died Sunday evening in the crash of a small plane that struck a house 30 miles southwest of Boston on Sunday evening.
