The first pitch of the game Thursday night involved several ceremonial first pitches. The one that brought tears to fans' eyes was when five-year old Carson found out that the man behind the plate in the catchers uniform was none other than his father home for two weeks from Afghanistan. Carson was shy and did not actually make the pitch but his dad came to the mound to reveal the surprise.
