Michelle Denise Davis, 46, of Dalton, GA, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Parkridge Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Davis; brother, Dexter Tally; and grandparents, Georgia Cullins, David Cullins, Bud Shropshire, Jr. and Ida Kate Davis.
She was employed at Shaw Industries WM Plant.
Michelle is survived by her daughter, Alacia Hatten of Cabot, AR; son, Zackery Abbott of Dalton; mother, Mary Womble of Summerville; eight sisters, Cynthia (Elder Windell) Smith of Dalton, Carlitha Palmer, Tewana Mitchell, Darnetta (David) Norman, Monica Davis, Trena Davis, Tonya Jackson and Shawn Davis, all of Chattanooga; four brothers, Min. Arthaniel (Archelliam) Womble of Rex, GA, Charles (Sonia) Fennell of Dalton, Charles Davis, Jr., and Tony Davis of Chattanooga; aunt, Linda Marshall of Summerville; two uncles, Lawrence Marshall of Lafayette and Lebron Davis of Chattanooga; great-uncles, John (Mildred) Griffin of Lafayette and Henry Smith of Amsterdam, Holland; five great- aunts, Marrie Cochran of Los Angeles, Ethel Harris of Baltimore, Hattie (Charles) Skipper of Gettysburg, PA, Martha Smith of Athens, GA and Lessie Ree Henson of Pittsburg, PA; dear friend, Sharon Foster; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 13, at noon in the Chapel with Min. Arthaniel Womble, Eulogist and other ministers officiating. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 12 from 5-7 p.m.
