Crime Stoppers: Auto Theft On Brainerd Road

Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking information regarding an auto theft that occurred on Aug. 31, around 5 p.m. at 5514 Brainerd Road.

Police responded to an auto theft at the Eastgate Car Wash.  A 2007 Chevy Suburban had just been washed when a white male approached the two employees drying the vehicle, and began to talk with them. Once the vehicle was finished, the suspect got into the vehicle immediately and drove it away from the business. 

The suspect is approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, in his 30s wearing a button down shirt with jeans, and shaggy brown hair with a goatee.

Anyone with information on this theft should call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could result in a cash reward.

Bicycle Store Owner Helps Police Nab Burglary Suspect

A bicycle store owner helped police nab a burglary suspect. Paul Rene Hayes, who has an extensive criminal record dating to 1993, was charged with aggravated burglary.
