Christian Education classes at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., Signal Mountain, will resume Sunday. A simple breakfast will begin each of the Christian Education sessions on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
Classes have been developed for the children, youth, young adult and adults. The children's program will be using a curriculum developed by Episcopal Relief and Development which uses themes such as water to focus on Bible stories, liturgy, community and service.
The youth program will focus on discussion of liturgy and worship. The young adult program will be a discussion forum on spirituality, theology and faith as it relates to the practical issues of living our lives, raising our children, and being disciples in the modern world. The adult class will meet Sunday to discuss and determine the initial course of study. The group will ultimately determine the format and course of study it wishes to pursue. The Urban Room video class will be discussing Luke Timothy Johnson's The Story of the Bible. The MacCoon video class will be discussing the Great Courses videos.
The Women of St. Timothy will meet Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Karen Vessels will speak on Walking With God, her spiritual pilgrimage in Spain. Sign up in the narthex or contact Laurie Buchanan at 718-8823 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
